As I've mentioned before I am working on a mini collection of sweaters and cardigans that I plan to sell in the fall. This is one of the styles that will be included - a cardigan made of very fine wool rib knit fabric with a tie collar that can be worn in many different ways. The fabric is really soft, keeps it's shape during wear and washes well too. I have been working really hard on sourcing high quality fabrics, since I want the garments to have longevity. And to be practical, so this cardigan has pockets as well. Overall the designs will be pretty classic, but with an element of excitement I hope.
There are still a lot of things that needs to be done before I'll launch it though, but I'm not stressed since I don't think there will be market for sweaters before October anyway (unless you live down under!). Instead I think the biggest challenge will be the marketing, so any suggestions on how to reach out would be more than welcome!
This is amazing. I love your cardigan. Very elegant. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Johanna. It looks lush, and those buttons are great. Still to early for me to have any advice for you on marketing, though. :)
ReplyDeleteYou knitted that sweater! Amazing...how long does it take? Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous - I love the pussy bow and the pockets .. it's a very cute design!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! And Ivalyn, I sewed it. I love knitwear, but am a terrible knitter so I have become pretty proficient at sewing wool cardigans :)
ReplyDeleteI can already tell it is going to be a great collection! I'm sure your blogging friends will help spread the word :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortenatle i have no tipps how to promote your collection. But i really love your cardigan. That's a style i would wear everyday!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for a while, so impressed, and this sweater is gorgeous. You will do well. I have a small shop on etsy, www.nelesc.etsy.com where I sell screen printed reconstructed tops and jackets. I have only been at it for a year but etsy offers a lot of advice on marketing. one thing that I did that has brought sales is to join facebook and get a fanpage. It has helped a lot.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful cardigan. I am sure you will do well at selling them.
